How do you define it?
Check this out: SPIRITUALITY
Do you see yourself in this sadly insignificant description? ----------->
Emotional health is about cultivating a positive state of mind, which can broaden your outlook to recognize and incorporate a connection to something larger than yourself. ~ Fiona
It's hard to find a reason for existence when each day is a struggle to survive. I believe deep in my heart that it is all about a balance. Trying to accept, learn, push forward and more importantly forgive.
Forgiveness is a strong bi-product of spirituality. When we forgive, we give ourselves the opportunity to let go and trust the process.
Most people automatically tie spirituality to religion and we live in an age where that is shifting right before our eyes.
The word “spirituality” describes the state of being “spiritual” or having a conscious connection to “spirit”; the third energy source that combines with our more obvious mental and physical energies as the mind-body-spirit connection. A child is born a free spirit, in a human body, with an active subconscious mind. The seeds (to the child’s conscious and ego) are in place, and require life’s experience to germinate.
The mental and physical energies of our being are determined primarily through heredity, however spirit energy (love, chi, etc.) is widely considered transcendent in origin and/or anchored somewhere above and beyond the physical plane as we currently understand it to be.
Your spirituality is about you and only you. Others can lead you to it, but no one can define it for you. You own it and as such it is yours to design anyway you like and add to it anything that empowers you to love more and be able to accept more love from others. Spirit is the real authentic perfect and perfect you that connects to other spirits via collective consciousness.
Being spiritual speaks of the health of your connection or ability to listen to Spirit (the real you). Spirituality describes a process that you alone control for yourself to know Love and then pay that unconditional love forward. ~ Randy

Spirituality is an ensemble of attitudes, beliefs and actions that help us reach more sensible, extra physical realities, having a deeper relationship with Source, ourselves and the world. ~ Igor

"It starts with the effort to begin a search"
For me, spirituality is the awareness of a greater knowledge within your own consciousness. It starts with the effort to begin a search. A search for the truth of who you are and what you are truly capable of. It is within this conscious effort to search, that you will find a deeper understanding, and an evolution begins. As the search progresses, and answers begin to unravel, there will come a point of knowing that spirituality resides within the search itself. The search to reunite and embody your own immortal soul and to finally understand the source of truth... Of Love. ~ Matt
The poem below was written more than 10 yrs ago and I just pulled it out from a drawer BECAUSE I was SO inspired by Passion Planet. My creativity has popped!

Spirituality can be a safe haven for many. Find that place where there are no lies.
Peace in...&...peace out.
"Where are we going, said Eve excitedly. Adam replied, "Anywhere from here I'm running away. Together we'll go forever we'll play." "But where?, but where?" said Eve" "Let's start walking, And decide when we're there."
Are you ready for this?
Spirituality is living through the spirit
When people speak of being spiritual, most associate it with being religious. But spirituality is almost the opposite to me! It's not about following certain rules or doing things you don't want to for a certain outcome, but to me it is being willing to break the rules if necessary to be who you are. A wise person told me that spirituality is authenticity. Being yourself regardless of what others say or think. I think it's about making your own decisions, choices, life. That doesn't mean that you don't listen to anyone else, but that you decide if what they say should be included in your collective truths.
Somebody may say something that resonates with you so you agree. That person could be an atheist. But if they are being themselves, I consider them spiritual. Spirituality is living through the spirit and that could be anyone! And if your mind is open, and you live true to yourself, you will recognize the truth when you hear it. No matter the label you put on the person who says it, consider them spiritual....if they are true to themselves! ~ Manuel
Be brave and gentle... pull back the layers of your onion.
Spirituality is an unravelling. It is the unwinding of beliefs and untruths. It is a commitment to yourself to continually dive deep within. To challenge yourself. It is the understanding that love, compassion, and kindness connect us to ourselves and to all else. The rest is suffering and one day we make the leap. We jump off the cliff and have no idea where we will land. All we know is that we have been brought to the edge of this rock and we can’t go back. You can’t fall back asleep. You are awake. And once you are awake you start on a spiritual journey. It is unique to each and every person. It is a process. A path. A way of life. A way of Being.
Within you lies the knowledge of Universal Truth. Only you can walk this path. But now there is a newfound Trust that you have. There is a deep, undeniable force within each of us that guides us. Allow yourself to let go. Allow yourself to Trust. Allow yourself to Be. And in doing so, you are practicing spirituality. Be brave and gentle as you continue to pull back the layers of your onion. Unravel and unwind until you just are. When we can all be as we are there will be unity. This is the power of spirituality.
