The Human mind is subjected to an array of emotions arising from various up and down-regulations of various hormones (various chemical secretion) flowing through the body. Human body is tangibly attached with the effects of human mind giving rise to various positive as well as negative outcomes based on the mind channelization.
For example hormones like dopamine or endorphin are happy hormones and make you happy or relaxed while release of hormones like cortisol takes you to flight and fright response mode.
Mind and Body
Our bodies can be viewed as energy converters.We take in food, which is a storage form of solar energy. We digest the food and finally convert it to ATP or adenosine triphosphate.This is the form in which energy is used in the body.We then use the converted solar energy for all our activities.
And 90% of glucose produced in body is been utilised by our brain for various activities, that means our thoughts and our emotions has huge impact in our healthy living.
For example,in previous times, often while suffering from a chronic disease doctor used to prescribe to go for a trip and that actually worked wonder in many cases. Its because, people suffering from diseases tend to become negative and attract more disease to themselves without their knowledge. Change in weather and environment shifts one's mind from their suffering to the beauty of nature.
Physical signs that your emotional health is out of balance:
- Back pain
- Change in appetite
- Chest pain
- Constipation or diarrhea
- Dry mouth
- Extreme tiredness
- General aches and pains
- High blood pressure
- Insomnia (trouble sleeping)
- Palpitations (the feeling that your heart is racing)
- Sexual problems
- Shortness of breath
- Stiff neck
- Upset stomach
- Weight gain or loss
- Weak Immune system with relapse of flu like infections.
Did you figure out that honking multiple times in a traffic wouldn't help the cars in front to move until and unless the lights turn green? Similarly, in life our anger, our despair doesn't mean anything until and unless we are able to cope and channelise our outbursts in a proper way.
Shouting on top of your voice to your employee is easy, probably it can give you momentary relief but on a long run, controlling your emotions at right time, is the key to your success.
Positive vs Negative
Human mind is a very powerful magnet and are capable to attract any number of thoughts throughout day, that includes thoughts of both conscious and subconscious mind. Its said, it can attract approximately 2100-3000 thoughts per hour as far as our conscious mind is considered.
In the world of duality, its impossible to think positive so what differs in different people are the approaches they take to deal with their thoughts and regulate its impact on their healthy living. We need to enhance our positive outlook and limit negative thoughts by filling ourselves with positivity.
Negativity affects ourselves and everyone around us. It limits our potential to become something great and live a fulfilling, purposeful life.
When we make a decision to become positive, and follow that decision up with action, we will begin to face situations and people that are also positive. The negative energy gets edged out by all positive experiences.
Few keys to stay positive :
- Express gratitude to each and everything in your life
- Help others and don't forget to fall in love, with yourself and every aspects of YOU first!
- Change your thinking from "I want" to "I am getting"
- Change how you face situation, from becoming victim of self pity to self understanding.
- Surround with positive people.
- Don't freak out, stop and change the path.
- Be the responsible, stop victimizing yourself.
- Develop resilience
- Laugh more, meditate often ; you will be 'at peace'.
My personal experience dealing with negative emotions:
I have read through so many articles and spiritually uplifting books so far and what I found out reading through end number of positive journals that it can give me few minutes to hours of peace but its not permanent so I came up with a solution that I want to share with my readers.
Step 1 : Think of worse thing that can happen in your life ( Me: its DEATH)
Step 2 : Feel privileged that it didn't happen with you/to you. Stop calling yourself victim. ( Me: Oh! God I'm thankful to be ALIVE)
Step 3: Do you deserve to be sad or angry or freaked out now because in front of the worst scenario, its mere and useless ? (Me: Breaking up is nothing infront of DEATH for God's sake)
Step 4: Now the 'Why me question arises most of the time?' (Me: Its me because I'm strong to deal with it and rise again as PHOENIX-tell yourself)
Step 5: Be angry to yourself now because you have wasted so much precious time.
Step 6: Chuck and move on!
Step 7: Follow up- you will find what you were brooding from hours have become past tense in your mind.
Step 8: Enjoy and Relax and remember You are LOVED!!
Now you can start choosing your thoughts and meditate if you feel restless.
